It's a very nice model as are all the End Times models, the background and rules are very inspirational too.

I will celebrate pay rise by buying the NAgash and Verminlkord model. One of the stats concerning number of shooting attacks equal to the number of model in the first rank is tempting. Also re-rolling miscasted Skitterleap with 5 st8 attacks.

I am liking the new Nagash end of times thing, more undead, more heroes, more spells and new models!

After the salary comes, we are getting Nagash and the Verminlord. I'll stick to the 7th and annoy riot with cracks call at close combat.

I have to say that I'm not that keen on the new Verminlord model, but I do like Nurgle stuff and as a random present this Christmas I got the Maggoth Lord model, which is really nice (and still sitting in its box!). I have been looking into this 'end time' thing and it's really interesting and the stories are really good, but not wishing to spoil things but everyone is dying! As for the rumours (bag of salt needed), if they are true Warhammer as we know it is dead. Check out the rumour section on 'the bell of lost souls' for details. But nothing stopping anyone carrying on with 8th, which is what I will hopefully be doing...

Myself and Lee will definitely be sticking to 8th edition, between us we have every army and see no need to move to another set of rules when we like the current ones and have invested a lot of money into it.

I'm looking at this end times thing as a great source for themed games, senarios and stories (Imagine all them last stands), you could do so much. But just carry on with 8th as normal and add the kick arse characters and insane magic if you want. From what I've seen of battle reports online the new magic work really well, it's so much harder to cast the big spells that could so often ruin a game in the first turn, and you can cast the smaller subtle spells over and over agian that make a difference but don't remove 50 models per spell!!!! Not that I'm still haunted by that....

Yes the new End Times rules are really good, some of the new spells are nuts, but as you say they are hard to get off as you have to roll a d6 to see how many power dice you use for that spell, the characters are really crazy, like Tyrion Avatar of Khaine with the Widowmaker, hello i can kill anything in one round before you can hit me!
The scenarios in the books are good and the background is awesome, i just need to get some more Vampire Counts stuff so we can start playing.

I have seen which way the wind is blowing and personal welcome our new chaos overlords! To this effect I am I have opened my Maggoth Lord box! I have stuck it together, filled the gaps and primed it, I am now filling the new gaps the primer has revealed before re-priming. At this rate he will be ready in time for them to scrape Warhammer!!!
