Hello all, i thought i would do this as a bit of fun, please explain why you love a particular gaming system.
here is mine.
WARHAMMER FANTASY
I have played this game for most of my life and still enjoy it immensely, i started out as a roleplayer of D&D and love Lord of the Rings and this was around at the right time, the rules have gone through a lot of changes but i have enjoyed the majority of them, the current edition is my favourite having all the right elements, but the main reason this is my go to game is the sheer size of the games that can be played, i enjoy having large bodies of troops on the table and being able to chuck out devastating spells and mass volleys of missiles, also the background has a lot of depth and is very inspiring for writing campaigns or even one off games.
have at it gentlemen and lady.

Good idea, I had to think about the question for a while. I asked my missus what she thought on the subject, and I must admit the character assassination that followed was a bit harsh, but to be fair it was somewhat true... I will think about it and write something up soon.

Warhammer Fantasy for me too. As @damon, I have started as D&D and Warhammer Fantasy pen and paper player. Later I took on re-enactment which deepened my interest in history and fantasy. When I started playing minis, I already knew some of the background and fluff for the fantasy. I was deciding between Beastmen and Skaven. Chose Skaven, because I want to play for fun, not to win. Hilarious moments are guaranteed with those little rat brats. (The only thing I don't like is having to paint that horde )
