shaggy - Eh... the triple Ice Cage is... a bit of a trap, unfortunately. Against high DEF models for which the trick is useful, getting the first hit is difficult meaning that it's not something you can build a battle plan around. Against low DEF models, it's somewhat pointless given that by the time the third hit goes in, you're 3+ to hit or something like that. From what I've seen of them, they're a multi-purpose second line unit who early on chuck up Blizzard AOE's to protect a vital unit (or caster), then once the attrition game is progressing, they move up and Frost Bite any enemy stragglers. What's great is that they can do it from/through/into combat (to combat) without penalty AFAIK. Still, using them for Ice Cage is iffy as (IIRC) Khador doesn't really have much that can boost magic, so DEF14-15 is the main set-off mark to start it, but far from ideal. Also, push them out early and they'll get whacked very easily given their questionable stat-line.  germanicus That's what I thought at first to get 3 shots in would be tricky and there seems to be better units out there... I think in the long run it's narrowed down to the assassins, iron fang like man..with black dragon UA, gray lord outriders. i would like to get the bears and the doom reavers also and try soon boom howlers for fun. Caster wise I think I am ok also I can proxy for the epic versions... until that is I take the plunge and get back on topic and get a colossal! |

shaggy - In fairness, the Ice Cage is not to be sniffed at as a -2 DEF debuff is HUGE... applied to DEF 14 units/solos and unbuffed Winter Guard will be able to hit them with relative regularity. And if you're going infantry spam, spread the Ternion out and you can tag multiple enemies to reliably bring the pain on Butcher1's feat turn (just an example, perhaps not the best, but you get what I'm driving at). Heh... getting a colossal... don't think everyone's as lucky as me, getting my Hype for £48! >_> Oh yeah, on that note, the Gargantuans are being announced this weekend! Let's see if Legion get another faction balancing piece of junk! =P

Oh yes. It's an alright model, but would never have bought one. Not to keen on the units they have either, good job I like the vectors!

mr2key - Eh... they're not known for particularly impressive units... I think their only properly good one are the Reciprocators (the medium base Shield Wall lot, because they can TANK!). Clockwork Angels are there only to look pretty! -.-

Overall all the units are underwhelming. But you get cool transformer noises when your playing them.
