Ruseell suggested that I coudl run Deadlands at some stage and the idea has sat festering at the back of my mind competing with the usual preoccupations ( I'm hungrey, I'm bored, how's my hair?). Anyway, I found myself re-reading the rules and I was reminded of why it had captured my imagination back in 1997 . Anyways, I was thinking of running a one-shot Wild west game at some poin t after Russel concludes his Vampire campaign.
So, what's Deadlands- its a role playing game set in a Sergio Leone western, gunslingers, gringos, snake oil salesman etc BUt there are also pulp horror elemenats .
If anyone is up for it let me know and we could do some charcter generation.
There is some magic, but I always like to limit that broadly there are three classes of magic users- Huckters who use cards to activate spells, Holy men who use faith to punishes the wickerd and shaman's who manipulate spirits . Plus mad scientitsis ( think Back to the Future Part III)
