SPACE MARINE TURN 1
The entrenched Imperial Fist troops surveyed the approaching Tyranid horde and as one opened fire with everything they had, along with the Vengeance weapons batteries and the Dark Angels support vehicles the impact on the Tyranids was minimal. The troops on the cities outer walls could only watch.
TYRANID TURN 1
The Tyranids emerged from the Space Marine fire reasonably unscathed and surged forward ready to devour the entrenched Space Marines, before they engaged they took a heavy toll on the Marines with their deadly bio-weaponry, the few close combat engagements that followed went mainly in the Tyranids favour.
SPACE MARINE TURN 2
With most of the Imperial Fists on the front line destroyed and the Tyranids still a good distance from the city walls the Space Marine fire was fairly ineffectual, it appeared only a matter of time before the Tyranids reached the city wall and entered the city itself.
TYRANID TURN 2
The entrenched Space Marines had proved to be little threat to the Tyranid onslaught who continued forward with very little resistance, the city would soon be within their reach.
