GREETINGS PEOPLE Just wanted to say that on Friday 6th June (around 6:30) I'd like to come along and run a game of Fantasy Skies... Essentially its aerial warfare in a Fantasy Setting hence I thought that I would put the notice in here. Its a rule set that I have written, simple and fun to play with some damn fine game mechanics. It can handle 6 to 8 players so all are welcome, I will need 6 by 4 as a playing surface and the rest for bits and bobs... You can choose from the following races... Elves, fast & powerfull. Empire, tough workhorses. Undead, easy to use, dont care about winds. Orcs, all canons are frontally mounted...need I say more! WIP; Dark Elves, Oriental, Lizardmen (on Feathered Serpents instead of ships). So, is the 6th okay for me to book in ? Let me know... Laters Madan

No Ratman, Furries, Beastmen? What a dissapointment. Sounds fun. Not sure if I will be able to make it on 6th.

Ratman, Furries, Beastmen would probably use the Orc ships... when you see them it'll make sense...

Sorry, but 6th of June is set aside for our D-Day Pegasus bridge game, but any time after that would be fine.

HI Mike, Thanks for the photo's. really enjoyed bringing out the ships again, give me the incentive to finish the Dark Elves and Dragons.
I only wish that i had laid out the battle along the Long Edges so that you could have got into short range and boarding actions sooner... oh well, next time.
It was good fun, let me know when you guys fancy another bash!
Rgds Madan PS I playtested Hail Ceasar & Kings of War during their Alpa & Beta Trials, just don't have the time any more, never got on board with Bolt Action (not that knowledagble on WW2).

what about ogres?
a mercenary ogre crew mutinying and taking over a ship. ogres walking around deck with cannons in hand (a bit like lead belchers), and the boarding parties would be nails.
just an idea

When would I fancy another game? This friday would be nice. Didn't enjoy X-wing as much as this game. Will be thinking about skaven/beastmen team.

I'll see if I can sort out this Friday, we can play on 4 by 4 so if anyone else wants to do something else there will be space...
We can also try out several ships each of the smaller ones...
I see the Skaven as a very industrious race though slightly warped, consequently the Shroud Mages ships are ideally suited to this look. But I'll need to finish my current models off (Celestials anyone) before I buy some more. If you want construct your own models then I can right the rules to fit...
As to ogres boarding parties, that's something that I was working on when I got distracted (my creative mind does not sit still). Essentially, you have money to spend at the beginning of the turn and you can buy upgrades, such Ogres for boarding, combat mages, bigger guns, etc.
Just got to be careful to not over complicate things so the game remains fun...
Anyways, hope to see you in Friday, if I can't make it I'll let you know here.

The Shroud Mages ships would make good skaven ships with a long "zeppelin-like" balloon. Could fullfill the russian saying "Nas mnogo" (There's lots of us) by shooting ramming, dying, winning. I'm affraid my modelling skills are no match for the job.
