I've noticed that there has been no talk about 40k for a while now. Is this the end... Has 7th scared people off... Has Warmachine taken over... Is it only ginge who is going to play me now... Discuss

With the release of 7th a lot of people seem to be taking a more cautious approach to 40k, i for one have sold off some of the armies i use least, but i still have a few bigger armies and have no intention of getting rid of them. I have played a couple of games of 7th and had an apocalypse game in store, it has just become less frequent, however this happened before when people started playing warmachine and it came back, it will do again once people have tried the new rules.

Eh... not yet...
As Damon says, it's a plain wariness with the game more than anything else. A few guys at my other club still play it without qualms and are quite taken with some of the changes. I just happen to be one of those who isn't.
At some point, folks like me who has about fifteen thousand points plus of one thing or another will realise that there's still some draw to the game, and I'll crack out the bike force and Aspect warriors again, I'm sure... just not yet. Still on a WarMachine high...
And the same applies to Lano, for all he'll deny it! -.-

For me I just got back into the game in November and got comfortable with the game. I did not want to pay for another book at £50 so it gave me an opportunity to try some other games which I am currently enjoying. no doubt I will play it again and will be Interested in the new space wolves codex.

Could not agree more I only got into the game at the beginning of last year and was just getting to grips with the system. However other games have caught my eye, x wing, flames of war and bolt action which all have solid rules and frequently less updates on the them. Luckily I have only one army Tau, which I think they have hamstringed with the over watch rule, it was the only real defence they had that made people think twice about charging at them before getting into melee. Oh well there's always SAGA, Bloodbowl, Attack wing and for the other heathens Wormahordes, plus the others already mentioned.
