Hi folks just like we talked about Thursday I think we could do with a mini campaign to give us a focus. At the moment we are in a situation where everybody arrives with a different army or system and people miss out.
I figure if we play a mini campaign players are guaranteed at least one game a meet.
I suggest Mordheim for the following reasons;
1) At least 3 of us have played it previously which means Macca, Lano and I can all play different opponents and coach them through 3 different games with 3 different opponents which should give them more then enough time to learn the rules and refine their warband before they play another newbie. This will mean we are not all constantly bugging Lano to clarify the Bloodbowl rules and gives him a chance to enjoy himself as well rather then GM several games on his own. Also if Lano can't make it we are not dependant on the only guy who knows the rules showing up. Again I do not think this is fair to Lano.
2) We can play the games on 3' x 3' tables and maybe even introduce a 'deathclock' elelment, which will speed up the games and allow poeple to get a game of something else in as well.
3) Most Warbands are limited to 15 figures. This means the game is cheap to pick up. A set of Frost grave soldiers cost £18 and supplies eveything you need to run a Mercenary warband. I also have ton's of WHF, Empire figures which people are welcome to use. I also have a box of Zombies people are welcome to use. Start up cost will be minimal usless you want to buy the original release figures.
Proxies cost pennies!
4) I have a ton of Mordheim terrain and am still building more i.e.
5) The rules are free and can be found here
