Thanks for the game Riot, though I think a few more skirmishes needed (and maybe even a read of the rules!) before I pose any real threat. That Madness rule was a surprise and I think it was right to alter its activation to uncommon and rare. Still not sure why you might take levies though, they seem (to a novice who doesn't know the subtleties of the rules) a little useless!

Just wanted to echo Winstonsmith an say I really enjoyed last night. Its nice to play a game every now and then that does not leave you with a headache afterwards from all the thinking. I am really enjoying the development of the boards as well. To be honest after thinking about it, it is right to change the "madness" activation as the estallians etc will really suffer from it but i think pygmies will really struggle against the undead as they ignore fatigue. Am also looking for a way to get my Skorne into the game.... "vampire, nuclear apocalypse, samurai" anyone.

Very enjoyable games yesterday.
The Vampire board seems to work well and does not appear to be imbalanced, some fine tuning is needed but otherwsie looks good.
As for the Estallians, I need to play a few m,ore games and re-asses the board with referance to the Byzantines , the abilities to shoot and then charge can be usefull but require cordination . The increased defence dice makes them resiliant but prone to exhuastion which could be a real hinderance against boards that punish exhuastion.
I should be down next Friday , but not sure how regular I will be at the club now that I don't work in Gants Hill.

Just wanted to thank lee for the re match. Much more versitile use of the board and at one point a great use of abilities to stall my attack. Have to echo's maccas comment about the pygmies ability to actually hurt the vikings, especially cancelling hits on fours against shooting. Maybe some sort of ability to make all hits count twice? Anyway here are some pictures

I thought it was just me experienacing that problem.
I did give the Pygmies an ebility to reduce defence dice to a 6, which can help when you line up a shooting wall. I
How about them versus the Estallians next week,

Ok if your having problems with the files the battle board is Microsoft Works and the second is Open Office. Open office is an open source office suit which is freeware that I use instead of MS Office as I do not have it. When you click to open the file try saving them first as word docs etc.
